Do you REALLY know who you are?

This girl (Me) just did something most people do often, others not so often. I cut and colored my hair. I went in for a trim and root job, and came out completely transformed. It's all part of my creative self.
I came across a photo on
of what I would like, but the model in the photo had many different features than I. My face is not thin, nor is my forehead small. Did I let that stop me? Heck no! I was wanting blonde or gray, but the color I ended up with totally by accident was a blue/gray! Guess what? This cut is so "ME!" Life brings different variable our way. Sometimes the outcome is expected, and sometimes not so. The real me is in there. I promise.
Society is constantly bombarding us 24/7, persuading us to fit into its mold. We are told we must wear trend-setting shoes & clothes, the newest hair color/style, and the list goes on and on. Trends change. Hair grows. Color fades. “True beauty emanates from a woman who boldly, passionately and unabashedly embraces who she is in Christ.”
We must not be caught up by the world's standards. It is only when we abide in knowing who we are in Christ that we will boldly, passionately, and unabashedly know our true identity. When we begin everyday from a position of abiding in Christ through meditation, devotion, prayer, and worship we set ourselves up to combat the screams of society to go this way or that. This abiding empowers us to come alongside others on our path with encourage-ment and hope for their own journey.
We make a billion choices everyday which will either deposit life and destiny into our future, or deplete us, deplete our life and rob us of destiny. The REAL you is only to be found by abiding in Christ. Please understand, YOU are who you really are, right now. The REAL you may be covered with a facade of all the latest looks and fads, but that's not the REAL you. Each person in the world was created for relationship with God through placing Jesus as the Leader of their life. God is passionately in pursuit of you!
